How do I explain Fundamentals of Being? First we define fundamentals. The densest meaning I can give is a fundamental harmonic. It is the lowest frequency of a periodic waveform. In wave terms, it is 1. It can be then divided, nest smaller waves within it, like ever decreasing fractions. The Fundamental Harmonic thus allows for other frequencies to stack on top of it in harmony.
Now we often use the word fundamental to describe a particular skill that is so basic and foundational that learning it is necessary to do more complex skills. For example, standing is a fundamental skill for walking, running, jumping, and dancing.
Being is our existence whittled down to it’s fundamentals. But even in being we are giving and receiving information. We transmit our location in space, and receive information from other such beings. So while it may appear an isolated act, to be means to be in contact with something, even if only the earth. And should we want to be in contact with a being or beings more dynamic than the earth, we need to understand the type of interactions we are having before we ever speak a word.
Developing a skillset in fundamentals allows us to concentrate on the simplest forms of interaction first, making sure that when we start working with more complex ideas of language and culture that we are well grounded. It also allows us to access our creative and executive function in times of emergency, when our consciousness can be hijacked by fear. Practicing fundamentals gives us pathways in our brain and our body that we can go to when more complex processes are blocked or interrupted.
To progress in this skillset, we work from a simple understanding of ourselves to a complex interaction with every being, creating patterns and pathways that allow us to function in harmony with others, and ultimately, the universe.
